Reliable printing in demanding technical environments
In sectors where precision, speed and reliability are essential — including architecture, engineering, construction, infrastructure and manufacturing — high-quality printing technology is not a luxury, but a necessity. These environments rely on complex technical drawings, CAD designs, construction plans and visualisations every day. The output must not only be sharp and accurate, but also robust enough to withstand intensive use and changing conditions on the work floor or construction site.
Demand is growing for secure, sustainable and versatile printing solutions. Organisations want to reduce their reliance on specialist printing knowledge, shorten turnaround times and minimise waste. At the same time, the technology must be intuitive and reliable for a wide range of users — from designers and work planners to project managers.
Our client addresses these demands with the latest generation of printers, designed to perform in environments with high requirements, diverse media needs and constant pressure on productivity. Whether it is precise technical line work, colourful presentation drawings or ready-to-use output for on-site use, this print system stands for quality, continuity and ease of use.

Our role: full outsourcing of the embedded software
For this leading client in the high-tech industry, we took full responsibility for the outsourced embedded software development, including the microcontroller software for this new generation of print systems. With a team of 10 FTE working closely alongside the client’s internal development team, we took full technical ownership — from the first line of code to further development and long-term maintenance.
The trust of this innovative partner enabled us to apply our expertise to its full potential and deliver a solution that excels in performance, reliability and scalability. This resulted in a successful collaboration built around innovation, quality and partnership — one that helped set a new benchmark in the market.
What we developed
(Embedded) software development within the platform
We designed and developed embedded software components as an integral part of the printer platform, meeting the strict requirements for performance, reliability and long-term operation in production environments.
Integration with modern printing protocols and IP hardware
We developed integrations with common print protocols and IP-related hardware, enabling the system to fit seamlessly into existing IT and network infrastructures at end-customer sites.
Performance optimisation
We continuously improved processing times, memory usage and throughput — essential for a platform that needs to perform reliably and without interruption in demanding production environments.
Integrations with external systems
We developed interfaces with external software systems for workflow, monitoring and management, ensuring the printer does not operate in isolation, but as part of the wider business process.
Security-by-design
Development of embedded software according to security-by-design principles, from threat modelling to secure update mechanisms. Modern printers are full-fledged IT assets and must be compliant and resilient against the threats of today and tomorrow.

The result
A flexible, scalable and stable platform that allowed our client to migrate existing installations to a modern architecture safely and efficiently. By outsourcing to Veynex Embedded Software, the client not only reduced the technical burden, but also gained assurance around compliance, reliability and security.
For end users, this means a new generation of print systems built on a proven foundation and ready to meet the demands of modern technical and graphic production environments, both today and in the future.
